Welcome

Our mission is a miracle. Miracle that we are here. The Lord wants us to succeed. He wants all of His children to be happy. He sent His Only Begotten Son to earth to cleanse us from our sins. No unclean thing can enter his presence. We are here to prove ourselves and to return to him. We have a responsibility to become like Jesus, to keep his commandments and to make and keep sacred covenants. It's not a very long list. We pray for each member of our family. We love each one.

June 1, 2010 June already. We ventured out alone today, took a taxi to the Lady of Guadalupe Basilica. Legend has it that in the 1500s a peasant named Juan Diego went to church every Sat & Sun. One such a day birds were singing and he heard a voice (of the virgin Mary) calling him to come to her and she would take away his trials and bless him as well as all mankind. He asked for a sign and she told him to bring her some flowers. He carried the flowers in his cloak and took them to her. When he opened the cloak and gave her the flowers, her image was embedded on the cloak. That was his sign.

As word got around it resulted in the conversion of 8 million people to Catholicism. The LDS missionaries are out in full force bringing back to the true church of Christ the descendents of some of those misguided people. I Nephi 13:8-9. Behold the gold, and the silver, and the silks, and the scarlets, and the fine-twined linen, and the precious clothing, and the harlots, are the desires of this great and abominable church. And also for the praise of the world do they destroy the saints of God and bring them down into captivity.” During the Mayans culture they were forced to be Catholics. The Mayan leaders told the people to give lip service to the Catholics to preserve their lives but to secretly worship their own God. (writing by Diego de Landa Calderon in the 1500s.) There are four Mexico City Missions. There is an MTC on the Mansana.
