Memories of being 40 on Cam's Birthday
Aug 29, 2010 - Being 40. Cam turned 40 today. It was easier to remember our 20s than 40s. I find that weird. In April before I turned 40 we went to the Idaho Falls Temple where Lasca was sealed to us. The officiator, a long time family friend Marion G Forsyth, performed the sealing and all eight of our children were at the altar with us. It was a great moment in time. Adding the moment was that Blake received his endowments that day along with cousin, Clint Lewis, and my cousin Sylvia Glencoe. Also sealed was Tarah Smith to her parents Greta & Travis. All of my extended family was present which made it an extremely happy day for us. At the time of the sealing Lasca was 8 months old, Bethany was 2, Ammon was 6, Justin was 8, Cam was 12, Braun was15, Blake was 19, Christina was 20 years old. Blake soon left for his mission to the Belgium Brussels Mission. Christina graduated from Ricks with an associate degree and went on a six-week study abroad trip to Israel. Grandma and Grandpa Bennett both had surgery the same day. Grandpa had his in Layton at the Davis Hospital for a hip replacement and Grandma in Salt Lake at LDS Hospital for a heart valve replacement. We helped them in the coming weeks as they recovered. It was a busy year but we were happy. We finally had the eight children we had wanted since our marriage and we were sealed together by the Priesthood in the holy temple.
