Welcome

Our mission is a miracle. Miracle that we are here. The Lord wants us to succeed. He wants all of His children to be happy. He sent His Only Begotten Son to earth to cleanse us from our sins. No unclean thing can enter his presence. We are here to prove ourselves and to return to him. We have a responsibility to become like Jesus, to keep his commandments and to make and keep sacred covenants. It's not a very long list. We pray for each member of our family. We love each one.

Benemerito

Sept 21, 2010 Benemerito is an LDS Church owned high school. Housing is available for those wishing to attend from out of the area. English is a required subject. It is an hour away from us over on the west side of Mexico City. The school alumni put on a cultural extravaganza to celebrate the country’s bicentennial. Pres Acosta of the Centro Visitante arranged for a van. We packed 18 of us into it. The program was excellent. Many Church officials were in attendance including the Pres & Sister Johnson (area president), the temple presidency. CCM president (Boyd Cardon who rode with us, his wife was in Idaho for a wedding.) The first 30 to 45 minutes was a choir and orchestra performance. Everyone dresses in native Mexican costume. They performed some Church and other music. A mariache bamd joined them and then had their own short performance. Then there were the dances depicting the cultures from the different regions of Mexico starting with the Inca and going to Veracruz, Sonora, Guerro, Nafti, and the revolution. There was a fire dance, and one with machetes. All were well done. It rivaled the show put on at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Hawaii. There were over 200 dancers. .The costumes were out of this world.

Bennetts, Fuentes, Boyd Cardon, Hnas de La Latta, Serrano, Benavidez, the Acostas, Hickens, Johnsons, Neil & Sandra Cardon.
