Welcome

Our mission is a miracle. Miracle that we are here. The Lord wants us to succeed. He wants all of His children to be happy. He sent His Only Begotten Son to earth to cleanse us from our sins. No unclean thing can enter his presence. We are here to prove ourselves and to return to him. We have a responsibility to become like Jesus, to keep his commandments and to make and keep sacred covenants. It's not a very long list. We pray for each member of our family. We love each one.

A Day of Travel

May 15th, 2010 Sat A day of travel. There was nothing to do in the SLC motel so the shuttle took us to the airport at 8:00 am. The baggage check and security went without a hitch. We were surprised when Christina and Rachel and the boys showed up to send us off. It was great to see them. On the Delta flight to Atlanta I was sitting next to a young woman (41 but didn’t look like it) who was a member of the Church but had only a small understanding of it. I challenged her to read the Book of Mormon, have a patriarchal blessing and talk to her bishop in Spanish Fork about attending a temple preparation class.
On the leg of our journey from Atlanta to cuidad Mexico we were quite tired. The plane was delayed due to a passenger not showing up for the flight but whose luggage was already on the plane. The workers spent an hour searching for the bag. I was sitting in view of the luggage conveyer and never saw the removal of the bag. We sat on the very back row of the plane with an empty seat next to us. We sailed thru customs and immigration without a hitch. Pres. Mejia and Elder Shurts were there to meet us. They had two church vans and two brothers from the temple to do the driving. Elder & Sister Beck and luggage went in one van to unit 5 and we, and our luggage in the other van to unit 1 #6. We got our necessities tucked away and to bed by 1:00 am.
